The EU is providing financial support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) for the 2014-2020 funding period to:

  • the competitiveness of agriculture;
  • sustainable management of natural resources and climate protection, and
  • a balanced territorial development of the rural economy and community, including the creation and maintenance of jobs

to be secured.

The EAFRD Development Programme for Environmental Measures, Rural Development, Agriculture and Food (EPLREULLE) is at the heart of EU support for rural areas in Rhineland-Palatinate.
