Submitting an application to change a funded project from the "Media and Freedom of Expression" funding program

You can notify us in writing by post or online of any changes to the promotion of freedom of the media and freedom of expression.

Communicate changes by post:

• You discuss the need for change with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

• You send your application together with
  • a justification for the change,
  • a description of your overall project and
  • if applicable, the new financing plan by post to the BMZ.

• The BMZ will check your documents.
• If the change is approved, you will receive an approval from the BMZ by post.
• In the event of a change in funding requirements, you will also receive a letter of approval from the BMZ after verification of interim or utilization certificates.

Communicate changes online:

• You discuss the need for change with the BMZ.
• Go to the website of the Federal Portal and complete the form online.
• Upload the required documents and submit the application online.
• The BMZ will check your documents.
• If the change is approved, you will receive a permit from the BMZ.
• In the event of a change in funding requirements, you will also receive a letter of approval from the BMZ after the interim or where-used lists have been checked.

There are no costs.

The approved funding is available in the respective financial year. It is not transferable to the following year.

You must submit proof of use to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) by September of the following year at the latest.
